A wee hole-in-the-wall on Lady Lawson Street. Made-to-order sandwiches, proper breakfast rolls and homemade soup — the way it should be.
Our Story
Tucked just down from the University, Mario's has been a quiet Edinburgh institution since 2003. No frills, no fuss — just proper homemade food, made fresh in the morning and put together while you wait.
Students rushing to lectures, hotel guests on a wander, locals who've been coming for two decades — Mario knows them all by name. That's the magic of a good neighbourhood shop.

Why Mario's
Fast, fresh, no waiting around.
Homemade soup and locally sourced bread.
The same friendly faces for over 20 years.
